Train-the Trainer Urban Agroecology Intensive
As seasoned urban growers, how do we conceive of and therefore manage our edible gardens? or/and …what culture/s are we cultivating? How do our practices of agriculture manage and shape us and our environment? or/and …what habitats are we creating?
In this two day intensive, we will cover:
– An introduction to systems thinking
– Principles and practices of urban agrocecology
– Practical examples of how to apply these principles to your growing site/s
– Soil assessment methods
– Landscape reading
This course is for urban growers, horticulture educators and garden activists who have an intermediate to advanced level of growing experience. Space is limited. Growers who are working within a broader community dynamic or in an educational capacity will be given preference.
